AiroTEC Participates in Exhibition Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University in 2024.

AiroTEC, participated in an exhibition to celebrate the university’s centennial anniversary from July 3rd to 6th, 2024. The exhibition featured joint efforts with various organizations including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) of South Korea, GISTDA, the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation, and Dr. Hygiene Medical Products Co., Ltd.

 

UNDP supported AiroTEC, CMRU in their “Clean Air Without Border” project, aiming to innovate solutions to air pollution issues through Thai-Lao cooperation, promoting sustainable development goals (SDGs) internationally.

 

NIER contributed by developing and installing the Pandora Spectrometer, which works alongside GEMS satellite sensor data to monitor air quality in Southeast Asia. They also supported the ASIA-AQ project with NASA, sharing knowledge across Thailand and Asia, thereby creating a broad operational network.

 

GISTDA, a Thai public organization, demonstrated their contributions to societal benefits on wildfire management and haze reduction nationwide, using LiDAR to model forests and calculate carbon sequestration, utilizing Theos-1 and Theos-2 satellites for critical analysis and development purposes.

 

The Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation showcased their mission to manage wildfire and haze issues in Chiang Mai, Mae Hong Son, and across all regions of Thailand. The exhibition, titled “Royal Rainmaking in the Current Reign,” featured weather modification rockets for cloud seeding to alleviate drought and hail suppression. Royal rainmaking has proven to be beneficial for farmers and effectively improves air quality.

 

Dr. Hygiene Medical Products Co., Ltd. presented health products to enhance community air quality, including air purifiers and masks to combat PM 2.5 dust particles. They also outlined collaborative efforts in carbon reduction to mitigate global warming issues.

 

AiroTEC, CMRU, participating in this event, celebrated and pledged continued development together with Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, ensuring sustained benefits for the nation, society, and communities moving forward.
