Airotec CMRU joins with Rim Nuea Municipality to sign MOU to integrate cooperation by applying academic innovations to raise awareness of the dangers of PM 2.5 dust, along with a pilot training workshop on community health impacts from haze problems.
On March 16, 2023, Rim Nuea Sub-district Municipality Meeting Room, Mae Rim District, Chiang Mai Province, held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Rim Nuea Sub-district Municipality. In this regard, a representative from Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Dr. Ratchaphon Samputthanon, Director of the Center for Space Technology, Geospatial and Environmental Engineering for Good Air Quality Asia (AiroTEC), Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, along with Police Sub-Lieutenant Supap Yamano, Mayor of Rim Nuea Subdistrict, joined the signing. There is also a management team of the Rim Nuea Subdistrict Municipality. The board from the center AiroTEC witnessed this signing.
For the signing of this Memorandum of Cooperation, the AiroTEC Center is delighted to provide academic cooperation in disseminating dust prevention innovations, such as installing air quality sensors and easy air purifiers. It also helps to promote, support, and educate the community to raise awareness of the dangers of PM 2.5 dust.
On the same day; the AiroTEC Center organized a workshop on
community health impacts from the haze problem, honored by faculty members from
the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Science and Technology, Chiang Mai
Rajabhat University, as speakers who demonstrated how to make a DIY Purify
machine for the participants in this training as well.
