AiroTEC Partners with GISTDA to Launch Training Program on Applied “Internet of Things” Technology for Disaster
and Environmental Management in the Region
Asian Air Quality Operations Center by Space Technology, Geo-informatics & Environmental Engineering (AiroTEC), in collaboration with the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organization), also known as GISTDA, organized a training program titled “Applied Internet of Things Technology for Disaster Management and Environmental Issues in the Region.” This initiative is conducted under the “Workforce Development Plan to Prepare AI Skills for the Future,” aiming to establish a key driving force for the nation’s progress. The program’s objectives include fostering human resource development through Future Earth’s research challenges. It emphasizes both the cultivation of advanced researchers (Brainpower) and the training of researchers and research assistants (Manpower) who can apply AI knowledge to expand scientific understanding and enhance the nation’s competitiveness. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Akrasit Boonsongthae, Vice President of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, on November 19–20, 2024, at the 3rd Floor, Building 27, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Wiang Bua Campus, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province.
