AiroTEC CMRU Collaborates with Muang Len and Nong Yaeng Subdistrict Municipalities on MOU to Promote and Support Academic and Technical Cooperation for Enhanced
Air Quality Management in the Community

Dr. Ratchaphon Samphutthanont, Director of the Asian Air Quality Operations Center by Space Technology, Geo-informatics & Environmental Engineering (AiroTEC) at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, announced that on March 21, 2024, AiroTEC CMRU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on air quality management cooperation. The MOU was signed with Mr. Sombat Khueankaew, Mayor of Muang Len Subdistrict Municipality, and Mr. Pirun Nokaew, Mayor of Nong Yaeng Subdistrict Municipality in San Sai District, Chiang Mai Province.


The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Phathranit Kitthitinan, Deputy Director of AiroTEC, along with Mr. Att Chaimongkhon, Clerk of Muang Len Subdistrict Municipality, and Mr. Chamroen Sriwichai, Clerk of Nong Yaeng Subdistrict Municipality. This collaboration aims to synchronize efforts among the three organizations, promoting academic endeavors, technical services, and integrated operations to raise awareness, prevent, and address the issues of smog and forest fire smoke within the community. Additionally, it focuses on utilizing information technology, tools, and equipment to effectively manage air quality and the environment in the municipalities.
