AiroTEC CMRU Welcomes NARIT and GISDA Representatives to Visit International Research Laboratoryfor Air Quality
Monitoring in Asia, Thailand
On March 22, 2024, Asst. Prof. Worawit Suppawimut, Deputy Director of the Asian Air Quality Operations Center by Space Technology, Geo-informatics & Environmental Engineering (AiroTEC), welcomed representatives from the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) and the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISDA) for a visit to the international research laboratory. This laboratory focuses on ground-level air quality monitoring in Asia as part of the NASA Asia-AQ project, located on the 4th floor of Building 13 at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University’s Wiang Bua campus.
This initiative is a collaboration between AiroTEC, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, and the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) of the Republic of Korea. During the visit, the representatives observed the installation of ground measurement equipment for air quality and learned about the equipment, measurement methods, and data analysis techniques.
