On April 9, 2024, Ms. Varunee Torsricharoen, Economic and Commercial Specialist, representative of the U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai, met with the Director and Deputy Director of AiroTEC CMRU (Dr. Ratchaphon Samphutthanont, Dr. Phathranit Kitthitinan and Asst. Prof. Worawit Suppawimut) at the Euangfamuang Conference Room, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University in Mueang Chiang Mai District. The meeting aimed to exchange knowledge, networks, and discuss strategies for air quality and climate change initiatives in light of the current PM 2.5 pollution crisis severely impacting public health.

The discussions are expected to lead to the U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai facilitating and supporting AiroTEC CMRU’s efforts. This support will help develop projects and collaborations that will benefit the public, society, and communities in the future.
